As usual I was waiting for the bus around 7.30 this morning..
WHat's different this time is that it was raining cats and dogs..
The buses which were supposed to come didn't seem to pass by at all..yeuuuw!
Imagine me waiting alone at the bus stop with the striking pink umbrella and my heavy bag and files on the hand..simply dodgy..was merely wishing I could get onto a bus and would be on time for the 8o'clock lecture which is held in a building faaaaaaaaar away from the uni bus stop..
and just when I was still shivering in the cold and was worried I would have missed the class this time which is baaaaad, a car slowed down and stopped next to me.. the driver winded down the window.. I thought this australian girl got lost and was gonna ask for help with the directions..BUT!!! who knows in the noise-mixture of the raindrops and the car engine, what I could still hear was
"hey there..are you heading to the uni?"
and of course I answered YESSS..
"Come on, just pop into the car and I'll give you a lift"....
I got stunned for a little while and opened the door and jumped in..
she was just like an A-N-G-E-L to me at that moment and I didn't know what to say other than thanking her all the way..because after all she's still a total stranger to me..I would have thought twice if it were to be a guy in the car offering a ride...but since she's a girl and she looks like she's a good student.. so I just followed my instinct and trusted her for the help with no other negative intentions.. haha..
and I was right..she's actually a PhD student in Psychology from UQ..she said she told herself in the morning that she's gonna give anyone that she saw waiting in the rain a lift.. she didn't wanna see us waiting for the annoying buses which didn't seem to come.. Isn't she soooo sweet.. I felt really blessed and thankful that as if the God has sent the angel to keep me away from the rain and I got to the lecture hall in the nick of time..phewww~
oh and guess what..when she knew I'm doing first-year physio..she looked at me with the eyebrows raised and eyes widening and said "oh my gosh..believe it or not my brother, Rory, is doing the same program as you.."
It was such a beautiful coincidence that I'd take it as the magical fate between people or individuals.. then she showed me her office in the psychology building and gave me her number if I need any help in studies..
Oopss almost fogot to mention the angel's name.. she's Fiona..=)
Fiona gave Rory a ring straight away and was wondering why wasn't he at the uni yet..
then Fiona, Rory and I were waving at each other when he reached the lecture hall at last..it just made me felt so great and lucky.. Thank you very much Fi*!
I reckon it's these Sw3et little Unexpected stories or incidents which make our life much more colourful and meaningful*! cheer up people***
